Flu season’s here—have you had your jab yet?

The flu might feel like “just a cold” until it knocks you flat. And the truth is, it spreads fast and hits hard—especially if you’re not protected. The good news? Flu vaccines are now available at White Cross and Local Doctors clinics, and getting yours is quicker and easier than ever.

Whether you're a busy parent, a uni student, or someone juggling work and whānau—now’s the time to roll up your sleeve.

Why getting the flu jab matters

Every year, flu strains change. That’s why you need a new vaccine each year—last year’s shot won’t cut it this winter. Even if you're fit and healthy, the flu can still land you in bed for days, or worse, spread to those more vulnerable around you: pēpi, kaumātua, pregnant people, and anyone with health conditions.

Getting vaccinated doesn’t just protect you—it protects your whole community.

Where to get it

You can get your flu jab at any White Cross or Local Doctors clinic. We’ve got:

  • Dedicated vaccinators ready to get you in and out
  • Pop-up vaccine clinics every Friday and Saturday during April and May in five key spots
